Why this is phase 2
Kit (the platform formerly known as ConvertKit) is increasingly the operating system for the creator economy, newsletter, automation, landing pages, and Kit Commerce in one stack. For attribution, this matters in two ways:
- Kit Commerce sales, paid products sold directly via Kit. These complete on Kit's hosted checkout, no custom HTML.
- Kit landing pages, used as lead-magnet capture before sending traffic elsewhere. Custom HTML is restricted to Creator Pro and above.
What works today
If your Kit landing pages are on the Creator Pro plan with custom HTML enabled, the
pixel installs there normally. Paste the snippet in Settings → Account Info → Tracking Code. Cross-device attribution then works for any visitor who lands on the
Kit page from a YouTube tracked link and enters their email.
For Kit Commerce sales: today, attribution relies on the email on the order being recognised from elsewhere in your funnel (newsletter signup, double-opt-in page, etc.).
Phase 2, server-side Kit webhook
Kit exposes purchase + subscription webhooks. We'll integrate them in phase 2. When that's live:
- Kit Commerce sales get full attribution back to the originating YouTube video.
- Subscriber tag-based segmentation flows into per-video cohort analysis.
- Unsubscribes + refunds roll into net per-video numbers.
When this ships
Phase 2 of the roadmap. If Kit / Kit Commerce is your primary monetisation, get on the waitlist via the dashboard once you've signed up, we onboard webhook customers in order of waitlist join date.
